Changelog
Version 1.3.3
New: save shared web links as notes. Improved: Google Keep pin-limit handling. Fixed: PDF share-sheet visibility.
Version 1.3.2
New
- Task reminders: give a checklist task a due date and ioths reminds you that morning. Turn notifications on in Your Controls → Reminders, where you can also pick the time of day.
- Set a task's due date by typing @ on the task line, or with the new calendar button above the keyboard. The date reads as quiet text in the editor and turns to the attention colour once the task is overdue.
- Due dates show as a chip on notes, tasks and the Tasks widget. Filter the notes list by Due, sort it by Due date, and group the Tasks screen by Due date.
- Find text inside a note from the note menu.
Improved
- Clearer translations across all eight languages, with consistent technical terms and more precise storage and recovery instructions.
- A calmer first launch: one screen shows how a thought becomes a note with a next step, then you start writing. Storage choices are no longer part of first launch; they stay in Your Controls whenever you want them. The Feature tour row in Help is gone with it.
- On the Kanban board, the new-note button now starts a task, so the new note appears in Open instead of seeming to vanish. If a note loses its last task, a short notice explains it has left the board, with a shortcut to the List view.
- Kanban cards always use the comfortable layout, so their date and tags stay visible. The Compact view setting now applies to the List and Tile layouts only.
- Compact tiles no longer show tags, leaving a single tidy line with the date.
- Undo and redo now restore Markdown formatting and list edits in the note editor.
- The unlock screen now states that writing and editing on your device stay free.
Version 1.3.1
- Write with clearer Markdown tools: choose heading levels from the new H menu, while headings render cleanly in natural writing mode.
- Browse attachments more smoothly: swipe between photos in a note, including photos stored in iCloud, without loading every image at once.
- Improve your workflow with better tag suggestions, clearer Library-switching guidance, and a Return to Top button in Tile view.
- Fixed editing details across headings, checklists, text selection, placeholders, and the text caret.
- Fixed photo zoom and swipe behavior, so zoomed images pan as expected.
Version 1.3.0
New
- OneDrive storage (Full Unlock): sync your Library to a dedicated app folder in your personal Microsoft account, with restore and explicit keep-local / replace-local choices. Portable export works from a OneDrive Library too.
- Search supports exact quoted phrases and tag-based filtering.
- Search results show matching context from inside a note when the title does not match.
- The editor suggests existing tags while typing
#. - Tasks can be grouped by note or tag, with groups that can be collapsed.
- Kanban can use landscape orientation on iPhone and returns to portrait when leaving Kanban.
- Full-screen images zoom around the pinch location rather than always from the center.
- Kanban can switch between note cards and tasks grouped under their source note.
Improved
- Tiles are now the default main view; the previous Thoughts view has been removed.
- Search terms are highlighted consistently across list, tile, and Kanban views.
- Compact list and tile layouts are easier to scan, with less visual clutter and more focused metadata.
- Notes without tasks no longer display a misleading progress marker.
- Task lists show note links once in each note header instead of repeating them beside every task.
- Pinned notes now separate the remaining collection under “Other notes,” and the Pinned header reads the same in list and tile views.
- Storage, sync, import, and vault-change operations remain visibly in progress until they complete, preventing accidental dismissal or duplicate actions.
- Vault-selection failures stay on screen and show an error instead of silently closing the sheet.
- Starting work at the WIP limit now opens the limit setting instead of moving another note back to Open.
Fixed
- Files-folder storage now makes clear that the selected Files provider must allow folder selection.
- The search Filter button now responds reliably on iOS 26, including before any text is entered.
- Emptying a large Trash is faster and now shows deletion progress instead of appearing unresponsive.
- Typing in task-heavy notes avoids an immediate duplicate full-document Markdown styling pass, reducing typing lag.
- Searches containing text that cannot form a searchable token no longer fall back to showing the entire vault.
- Leaving Kanban in landscape no longer leaves the app in an unsupported orientation.
- Long-pressing a pinned note in List view now highlights only that note.
- Tags in newly created notes — including the welcome notes and notes made from shared text, images, or audio — now appear in the tag list and filters.
